Something I found about the killing of dogs in China because of rabies on an animal rights site....
Alright, so this is what happened. 3 people died from rabies, so the Chinese government killed 50,000 dogs. They claim that "dogs being walked were seized from their ownders and beaten on the spot." Ok, so this isn't necessarily the smartest way to prevent a rabies outbreak. This is almost stupid I dare say. There are better ways. However, I do believe that 1 human life is worth the life of many dogs. Many, many dogs. There are people who believe that "dogs are people too". Look at what some of these cracked almonds had to say about this.

This is all being written to the U.S. ambassador to China, Clark T. Randt...smart people, hmm? You guys really like peace that much? I can't imagine any of you cowards saying this to the Chinese government directly. You know full well that the ambassador isn't gonna send these comments to them. If he did, can you imagine what kind of feelings the two countries would have toward each other? To go so far as to call people from another country pigs because of something that you are against is just, well, pigheaded. Comparing the killing of 50,000 dogs to the slaughter of over 6,000,000 Jews? Sick. You guys are backwards to say the least. Hehehe..."dogs are people too". Yeah, and babies who happened to come from rape aren't right? Hey...did you guys know that lots of bulldogs are created by artificial insemination due to the males' lack of drive and ineptness at mating? That's rape if I ever saw it. Anyways, people...grow a mind. |
